Legal and financial assistance of women suffering from dowry

The women suffering from dowry having no source of income for maintenance, One lump sum assistance of Rs 2500 / – for prosecution of the case is given to beneficiaries and 125 / – per month is given as long as the case is prosecuted.

Eligibility Criteria/Necessary Documents

• Section 498 / I
• Photocopy of case
• Photocopy of FIR
• Copy of income certificate provided by Tehsil
• Residence certificate
• Photocopy of Aadhar card
• Not staying in any Government accommodation
• Not getting any assistance from other departments of governance
• Living below the poverty line
• She is citizen of India and reside in a district of Uttar Pradesh
• After examination of application received for assistance and recommendation of District Dowry Prohibition Officer will be approved by the District Magistrate
