Students will make the society aware to increase the electoral literacy

After the formation of Electoral Literacy Club in Nehru Balodhyan Inter College Jaunpur, with the objective of increasing the voting percentage under the sweep program, the students and campus ambassadors were informed about the election process in detail to increase the electoral literacy. So that these students can understand the importance of democracy by making their family, nearby areas and other people of the society aware to become voters and to vote in the elections.

On this occasion, District Sweep Coordinator Syed Mohammad Mustafa, while giving detailed information about the electoral system to the students, told that to ensure the registration of all the eligible voters in the voter list and to make  the voters especially handicapped, youth and women aware about voting process. Further, Mustafa while giving the responsibility to the students involved in the electoral literacy club said that on January 1, 2022, those who have completed 18 years of age will have to fill Form 6 and motivate the people of their village and city to become voters. Along with this, more and more people will also have to be motivated to vote by going to the booth on the day of polling. He told about NVSP, Voter Portal and Voter Helpline App that all the information related to election is available on this app, and through this app one can also apply online to become a voter.

The manager of Nehru Balodhyan Inter College, Dr. C.D. Singh said that for a strong democracy, it is necessary that the voters should have full knowledge of the election process and ensure their active participation in it.

On this occasion, the Principal/Nodal Dr. Chandralekha Singh of Nehru Balodhyan Hussainabad, Principal/Nodal of Nehru Balodhan Inter College,  Kanhaipur Jaunpur Priyanka Singh, several campus ambassadors and hundreds of members/students of the Election Literacy Club were present with social distancing.

Students took a pledge to make voters literate

Under the ongoing Sveep program under the leadership of Returning Officer, Mr Manish Kumar Verma(IAS), DM Jaunpur, voter awareness program was organized in the election literacy club Sarvodaya Inter College Khudauli. In which the students took a pledge to motivate the people to become voters and make the voters literate. Special emphasis was laid on the voting literacy of women

District Election Officer and District Magistrate Jaunpur, Shri Manish Kumar Verma, by providing Form 6 to the 
youth who have completed the age of 18 years, motivating and making them aware to become voters.

The exercise for registering names in the voter list and increasing voter literacy has intensified. Workshop was organized in Jaunpur. In which the District Basic Education Officer said that through the election schools constituted in all 2807 schools of the Basic Education Council. Voter awareness campaign program has been expedited under Sweep program on schools. Whose plan of action has been prepared. Awareness program is being organized by organizing election schools in all the schools simultaneously in a block.

Wishing the residents of the district on the occasion of Deepawali, the District Election Officer said that by becoming a voter, 
people co-operate in building a strong democracy. He has appealed, especially to the women of the district to get them
registered in Voter List, so that the gender ratio can be corrected in the district.
District Sweep Coordinator (SVEEP), making all the headmasters of the schools under Jaunpur, Mehrawan Nyay Panchayat 
download the Voter Helpline app through the Electoral Pathshala and conduct an awareness campaign to make all the eligible people 
who have completed 18 years of age as voters.
Election Pathshala was organized on 11th November at all 123 council schools of Sikrara development block of Jaunpur, to become voters and to increase electoral literacy, awareness and motivation were made.
In  Block Khutahan, district Jaunpur, people were made aware by organizing election schools at all council schools to become voters and to increase electoral literacy.

To make women voters and to increase the electoral literacy among women, voter awareness program was organized at TD Mahila Mahavidyalaya.
Chief Guest President Akanksha Committee Dr. Ankita Raj, Special Guest Deputy District Magistrate Madiyahun Archana Ojha and District Information Officer Manokamna Rai inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. Principal Dr. Vandana Singh welcomed the guests.
On this occasion, Dr. Ankita Raj said that women voters awareness campaign has been started to increase the gender ratio of women voters in the district. Because women have an important role in the house, due to her awareness, the whole family will be aware and the voting percentage will also increase. He said that along with motivating the youth to become voters, the women of the house also have to be made aware about voter literate.
